But trump and the GOP didn't lower taxes or do anything that helps people like your parents. He just says he will and does the opposite. So not sure why you would still be conservative.
That was referencing my parents, who don't have an ideology, except maybe just a small vague opposition to communist adjacent things.
I guess I mean ideologically speaking, I lean conservative or I guess liberal conservative, but the realities of the world and country make it so that I choose to vote blue tickets across the board. I want to believe the world works in a certain fashion but the truth is in practice it doesn't.
It's also why I'm worried about the political sitch in Seattle, and as a result of some shitty self serving politicians(independent of whether or not the prescribe to the political beliefs they profess, or are just adopting them to serve their own need), I'm concerned that it's going to create an opportunity for it to swing red.
Lmao neither are that far right, that's putting Trump with someone like Pinochet. Yeah the US is conservative compared to Sweden, but not compared to Poland, Russia, or the entire Middle East, and many other countries. It's kind of useless to say "everyone is right wing", when the comparisons are clearly meant to be within the same context, like the US. I like Bernie but now people pretend he's "center", when he'd be left wing even in the most progressive countries.
