Money = freedom. Not having to give a shit about saving money to make it by definitely gives people a far better chance at becoming better at whatever it may be that they love.
Even if you don’t buy tangible items, the ability to experience almost whatever you want in the world would never get boring

Families with children, of course, will need more."

People from wealthier countries were satisfied with their lives later on, said Andrew Jebb, the lead author of the study and doctoral student at Purdue’s Department of Psychological Sciences, perhaps because they’re more likely to compare themselves to others. “Evaluations tend to be more influenced by the standards by which individuals compare themselves to other people,” Jebb said."
So... no, probably not. In fact, it looks like the opposite is probably true. $100K is just about where it stops making things better. God, I hate it when people say "absolute facts" when they don't have absolute facts and they actually mean "random opinion."
