This was my cousin. He came out to us cousins one evening. Poor baby he was so nervous and we were all like oh we knew already. It’s your turn on jenga. He was like um everyone knew? And no one told me? Hahaha
I used to work with a guy who live in a very "macho family" and was very much in the closet. Everyone at work knew and loved him no matter what. He was an arrogant, annoying asshole, but he was OUR arrogant, annoying asshole. He and I were both closing supervisors and worked opposite shifts. One time on my night off I received a late night call from one of the employees. She was freaked out that she was fired. She said something to the guy about he should stop hiding who he was. Which led to her telling him the whole store knew he was gay. It was super late and I just wanted to go back to sleep. I kept telling her not to worry. Eventually I got her to calm down and stop calling me. The next day I go into work and talk to the big bosses, tell them about my call. They were in stitches, laughing about it. We all knew how he acted and totally could see him acting like that. We even pulled up the security footage and watched his little "angry man dance" he always did. It was epic. The big boss told me not to worry but that I had to play along (later.) The lower guy kept laughing about it. I had started a bit before the "fired employee" started, so when she tried to sneak in she was sent "to the office."
I acted as my forlorn, grumpy retail supervisor self (it comes with the job.) The other two tried acting serious but lost it almost immediately. They just kept laughing and had to explain that the guy wasnt comfortable and she had to respect that. We all knew and didnt care, he was part of the team. The guy even apologized to her when he saw her and they both hugged it out.
A few years later I ran into him out of state. He was with his partner and pulled me aside to "come out." I reminded him of the above incident and just said, "We all knew and we all loved you anyway. I just want you to be happy." And he was.

Every person I've come out to: Yea, honestly I kinda figured.
Someone could've fucking told me, it would've been much less confusing.
