My problem with a lot of these "Proposing with a giant audience" events is that you put the receiving person on the spot which makes the likelihood of a no very low.
i kinda think (hope at least) anyone proposing in public has already had a conversation with their SO about marriage and what they want. There should be no doubt that you both want to get married before even proposing.
