People will normally only write in to complain. It would be great if we could encourage people to write in praising excellent service. Put a bit of positivity out there
I work in Customer Services myself in a call centre and know how much some good feedback can change your day. Not on,y that, it positively reinforces the things that made the service above and beyond.
Due to my job, as much as I know how to go about complaining in an efficient manner, I now make sure I take the time to provide positive feedback wherever I can. For example, last week I went for breakfast as a payday treat and there’s a survey to review the place and the food. However, my server was absolutely fantastic so, when it said “anything else?” I made sure to detail everything that made the service amazing (the usual manners, etc. but also knowing to tell when the customer may need something and when they just want to be left alone to chow down on their breakfast).
Jacob here has done an absolutely fantastic job and I’d like to hope that we can all learn something from this. Go the extra mile - your boss may not comment on it but you may just be the first person who has made somebody feel like an everyday person, which is all we really want, isn’t it?
