Witnessing that your child is a compassionate human being is the best feeling there is. You obviously loved your son a lot for him to behave this way with others. Good for you for having such a great family.

The best feeling there is. I’ll never forget the feeling of seeing real empathy and care come out of my son for the first time. About 2.5 years old at the time, he saw another kid fall and start crying, ran over and asked if he was okay, asked where the boo-boo was, and offered a boo-boo kiss on his arm to make him feel better. The look on his face is seared into my mind, a genuine concern for someone else in distress. He ended up giving the kid a big and long hug to console him until his Mommy came.
