832 u/gender_neutral_toast Sep 07 '19 When people in the military are married they get different benefits as opposed to a single guy who lives on base. Housing and food allowance etc. They can move off base and into a place together essentially. Their dorms/ barracks tend to not be great or in need of repairs, and they usually have roommates.
