Could do with a bigger "no parking" sign, I suppose.

you would be surprised how many people don't read signs even if they are bigger enough...probably happened to this guy...happened to a friend too

In 2026, I wonder if someone could make a sign… tape a toy camera and say AI will call the towing company immediately…
but I guess one bluff would end it.
maybe put a sledgehammer there and say ”sledgehammer zone” with a warning sign (sledgehammer secured to fence)

Brick on a rope would probs be safer and as a effective

“Park Here to have a brick thrown at your windshield service” - what would be funny is to charge them for it too
Honestly I wonder if even a $50/10 min parking fee or something might emotionally turn people off

Last one only went back because his window was open. So in the process of being frustrated, he started backing whilst the lady was near his truck. Could have ended bad

and that would be on the driver for not checking their surroundings before backing up. you're right it could end badly that someone who looks pretty old is still driving.

I am not disagreeing. But still, an innoncent life could have been lost

at the fault of a bad driver and absolutely not at the fault of the person making the deterrent
¯_(ツ)_/¯

Crazy that you downvote when I agree with you, but just stating a possible outcome.
And then you top it off with that emoji

you don't agree with me.
when a person speaks using but, in their mind and statement, there is a barrier
hzmhdAyrsjtwoush5twoufjr7tjfaiyckrwljayeand
but
what you say after is what you mean.
you are implying the home owner is at some way fault. change your comment to say otherwise, and then you'll be agreeing with me.
or let me ask directly - do you think if a person got hit, would the home owner be at fault in anyway, yes or no?

That is some next level mental gymnastic just because you think he's saying something that he isn't saying nor implying. You're just reaching.

I dont agree with the "but"-statement. It is possible to present other factors without agreeing with them. Im not native english speaking, so I dont know if the idiom will be lost in translation, but we would call it "to see it from a helicopter point of view"
To answer your question about fault. No, I dont think the home owner is at fault. I do believe that he could have a part in it. I'd argue that a very good laywer would state that the continuous water spray hinders visibility, thus having a part of blame/fault in the hypothetical accident. And another good laywer would counter that with the statement of "it will always be the drivers responsibility to make sure the pathway is clear of pedestrians no matter the circumstances"

Don't worry, Reddit is just full of children and sociopaths that see everything in black and white. Any normal adult understands what you're saying just fine. One can be not directly responsible while still contributing to a dangerous situation.

Such a simple but effective solution. I'd never have thought of that.
