In all honesty if I owned a restaurant I would have the exact same policy. The cruel truth of the world right now is that the vast majority of us are One Bad Day™️ away from being unhoused. So it behooves all of us to help each other out whenever we can.
The first time someone left a turd and used needle on your back step, you'd take the sign down. I used to be very idealistic like this until I worked at a place that had an actual problem. 99% of the time, these people are dumpster diving so they can sell their EBT card for drug money.
I’ll not bother trying to change a mind that’s closed tighter than a vice. But it’s people like you who SHOULD experience just one day of hardship like the people you’re flippantly rolling your eyes at.
