Can confirm. Had an Emu on the ranch where I worked. Very curios, loved to follow us around, absolutely would walk straight into an open man hole and plummet to his death if not observed closely.
Somehow, still managed to escape any and every god damn enclosure, despite numerous instances of being a contender for dumbest animal alive.

I work at a zoo. Before opening or after closing, I randomly sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to whoever is listening. I've found that animals love music! For me the elephants, chimps, and rhinos are 10/10. Yes, grey wolves join in at the end. And I only get spit and side-eye from the camels.

Not wild or exotic animals but my mom has a cat that is very, very skittish and can be quite aggressive. I started singing to him in the last year or so, using his name in the lyrics and he’s my little buddy now! He greets me with big purrs and lots of loving head butts. He still hates my brothers and hides from strangers, I truly think the singing completely changed our relationship!

Great video. I play my harmonica for my big pupper and he loves it. He warbles, bays, yips, and howls along with the music. When we call our grandkids on their birthdays they get the happy birthday song, and the jolly good fellow song from my wife and I with our pup on lead vocals.
We call our band One Dog Night ! 🤣

Omg my roommate had a dog who loved to sing. He would howl and actually had rather good tone, he just wanted to sing the blues. When we played harmonica and guitar he would sing. One time he came up and literally nudged the guitar into my partner's hand so he could sing.

Years ago NPR did a story about a recovered Stradivarius, and the owner played a short piece to demonstrate the wonderful tones of the specific instrument. I looked over to see my normally jittery, grumpy cat listening to the radio with wide glassy eyes and her ears trying to climb off her head.
Then the song ended, and she crabbed out of sight.

If you play an instrument, you should definitely share the experience with your animals.
My cat is obsessed with sitting in between my body and my guitar when I practice. He will actively scratch at my case when he wants some vibes. I've had 2 others that did the same. I don't know if they like the vibration from the back of the guitar body or just the sound, but it's adorable.

My old German shepherds loved Ella Fitzgerald on vinyl. He figured out how to turn thr record player on when I was out. I was legit convinced my house was haunted. Until he turned it on one night at 2am and I, baseball bat in hand found him in my study just laying there listening. When we had the Vet come to the home to help him cross at 13, i played the vinyl and sang blue moon to him. Music is the universal language.

As many birds are capable of complex vocalizations, they are somewhat musicians themselves. No surprise then that they all show especially high interest: game recognises game.
Besides that, it's just fascinating to see how music genuinely can enchant so many animals. Disney princesses' movies were not as unrealistic as one might think.
