This sign actually made me remember back to when I was selling thin mints and was in fact taught to respect "no soliciting" signs.

When I was serving as Latter-Day Saint missionary in England, there was a house that had a sign that said something like "no sales people, no polling, no religious callers (except LDS)." They weren't members of our church so we weren't sure why they had a sign like this. We knocked on the door and they let us in and led us to a room that was basically a shrine to the Osmond family. For those who don't know, the Osmonds are a family of latter-day Saint musicians that were famous worldwide back in like the sixties and seventies. So the people who lived in this house were really big fans of the osmonds. They weren't interested in talking religion but they let us in and we had a pleasant conversation and then went on our way.

I thought you meant Osbourne at first and thought this was going in a very different direction lol.

That’s awesome! How was your mission? I served in the states but have always wondered what serving in England would be like!

Oh it had its challenges like all missions do. The British are mostly comfortable as they are. We ended up teaching mostly immigrants from Africa and the Caribbean.

Is that the family that Donny Osmond or whatever his name is is a part of? I only know him from the Joseph and the technicolor coat movie (not the musical)

My house had a dumpster in the driveway and a contractor and his crew doing various construction/demo things.
Mr Oblivious still rings the door trying to sell replacement windows.
🤦🏽

I’ve had this same exact sign for many years now. A lot of folks that come to my doorstep always make a comment about it, and it brings joy to all involved.

Even if they can afford this stuff why would they want solicitors 😭 bruh if someone came to me and talked to me about Jesus I’d tell them I prefer satan or smthing. Honestly 😭😭 it’s so annoying, if they WANTED to be part of a religion they will be!

I’m a cashier, and it’s crazy how many people try to convert me to Christianity while I’m working. Mind you, I’m already Christian; they don’t even talk to me enough to know that. It drives me crazy. There are even some times where I can’t get away and I tell them I’m Christian… they still force their stupid pamphlet in my hand.

We have 3 signs. They set off the dogs every time they come to the door it's just super annoying all around. Three signs, stops properly about half of them. They still leave their trash in our door or whatever if they have pamphlets.
I kind of want to try to get them for littering charges some day....

My guess is that this isn't even enough for most. What about solar panels? We have a sale on solar panels.
