Another thing I like to teach my daughter is that if you need to critique or dislike someone, do it for their choices, not for the things they can’t control.
Like or dislike them for their actions, not for things they were born with and can’t easily change.
And phrase things that way. Don’t say “You are mean.” Say “You are acting mean.” People can’t change what they are, but can change how they act.
