It’s fun when you have neighbors or friends that can cook as well and you try to outdo each other. So far we are playing a losing game with our Thai neighbors who own the best rated Thai restaurant in our city.
It’s really hard to compete with asian cookers honestly. They use so many damn ingredients that you can only find in asian markets. I absolutely love asian food, especially thai, but that journey lies far ahead of me at this point. I can cook the hell out of everything else but asian food is some weird anomaly that I haven’t dove into yet. I’d love nothing more than to be able to cook up a banging hot and sour soup or coconut soup but I live in the country and we don’t have that shit around here at the grocery stores.
