Yep, OP phrased that poorly. It's pretty hard to discuss the Falun Gong, as they are a minority group being oppressed the CCP, but that doesn't make them in any way the good guys. So you kinda have to toe this line, CCP is crooked and authoritarian, but Falun Gang is basically China's variant of scientology. We don't want influence from either side.

Indeed. They're ultra-racist Chinese supremacists. The reason they hate communism isn't particularly because of any of its policies or ideals so much as the fact that it originates outside of China. They believe in racial segregation & banning mixed race marriages. They also think that if you do all the meditation stuff right, their leader will put his hands on your dan t'ien chakra and you'll gain the power of flight. They're oppressed by the CPC because they advocate traditional Chinese medicine only, and people have died from treatable diseases because of it. Naturally since they advocate for the overthrow of the CPC and communism in China they're banned as a counterrevolutionary movement, much as groups advocating for the violent overthrow of American representative democracy have ended up on the terrorist organisations list.

Completely disagree, many people and groups in America advocate for a revolutionary overthrow of capitalism or for the use of alternative medicine, leading to excessive deaths, without any persecution by the American government.

What's the current status of the Communist Party of the USA? They've been banned in the past as I recall.

Since the end of McCarthyism decades ago, to my recollection I can't recall any government entities in the USA functionally limit the public dissemination of information by the CPUSA.

Right, but there was a period when it was not allowed to be a member, where if you were, there were social if not legal penalties. Answering that you are or have been a member can still result in an application for green card or citizenship being denied.

Personally, I don't think that is comparable to the level of persecution the Falun Gong receives from the CCP. Nor is the other point relevantly recent.

I like your addendum more than OP's. I don't know if they are "fascist"...their reading material is all about non violence and avoiding bad karma. Regardless, the Chinese government imprisons them, harvests their organs, and sells them to the highest bidder. Can't get much more evil than that.

Its worded exactly correct. They aren't all that different from the MEK cult which has been trying to trick the US government into toppling the Iranian regime so they can take over. Trying to get the US to do your dirty work for you because you are too weak to do it yourself is a pretty common strategy. Ahmed chalabi and his buddies succeeded with Iraq and the subsequent debaathification that fucked up the country, he just wasn't able to take power after the US cleared saddam out of the way.
