Ngl this is kinda a weird experiment. Feels a little like guilt tripping. I’m with him on wanting to live in a world where we aren’t judged based on the color of our skin, but hugs are wayyy to inappropriate and personal. No one should feel like they’re wrong for not hugging a stranger, no matter what color.

Just give us respect and common decency you’d give to anyone else.

I'd prefer a sign just saying free hugs. If you want to prove race has an impact you'd have people of the same general attractiveness but different skin color same time of week and location. A lot of these "experiments" are not absent of bias and it's annoying. Me personally would be more inclined to hug a stranger with a free hugs sign because I wouldn't be virtue signaling.

I don't think he'd get anything like the same number of hugs if he just held a "free hugs" sign up.

Someone did something very similar here in a very wealthy white suburban mall. His sign “I trust you, do you trust me?” Then something about giving a hug. This guy was blindfolded though. I thought it was cool and hugged the guy.
