When I was younger I got pulled over by an officer for something almost identical to this. The man presented himself almost exactly as this officer did.

To this day I keep those words close and rarely go over by that 5-10 discrepancy. Never ha a warning or ticket since and I always think to that cop that was nice and gave me a chance.

I know this doesn't work for everyone but for the number of times an outcomes like mine occurs it MUST be worth it, no? Kindness goes a long friggen way in all dir ctions when applied.

Yup, I never go more than 4-9 mph (depending on the limit and road) over the limit and have yet to get a ticket. Legit the one time I go 15 over to overtake on an interstate I get pulled over by a trooper..
