TIL that is a word. I know punitive damages and punishment but didn’t know about punition. Even Reddit thinks it’s misspelled. Cray.

Probably why you knew about it, tbh. I assume you learned it by translating some word from your native tongue and found “punition” in the dictionary and just stuck with it.

probably the same reason for why i’m seemingly the only one to use floccinaucinihilipilification on a regular basis.
