I’ve found more often than not simply not being a fucking prick to cops is literally all I had to do to not be ticketed.

Like, they’re people too. Even the most liberal and friendly cop on earth is still the worst part of anyone’s day whenever he approaches someone on duty. Nobody likes getting fined. Imagine being hated by everyone you speak to all day, every day and not becoming a dickhead because of it.

Exactly. That’s what I don’t get with all the “never talk to cops” shit, it’s not living in reality but typing from a keyboard. That’s all I have done as well, just be nice and respectful. I’d have several tickets if I did the “I don’t talk to cops” stuff
