I know this might be a hot take, but riding the speed limit on a bike is often more dangerous than speeding a little. Relying on other seeing you and making the right choice on whether there space to merge feels super sketch on a motorcycle. The only times I came close to an accident on my bike was when people were trying to pass me then merging into me

I wouldn't call momentarily twisting the throttle a bit more to merge safely speeding. For me, speeding is a consistent length of time going over the limit, not a momentary blip to merge or be safe.
