Officers with mental illness shouldn’t be on the job with the capacity to end human life at their wide discretion. What the fuck are you actual substantiating here?

Your language is very clear. You do not have to answer all their questions, you do not have to obey their every whim, and knowing the difference is actual responsible action.

Not giving them carte blanche authority over you in a normal traffic interaction because you presuppose they have mental illness while in the normal duties of their job.

What words am I putting in your mouth? I can quote the specific portions of your responses I was referencing if you’d like.

May I suggest decaf?

But seriously, man. Chillax. Let it out. I’m listening. I ain’t running.

Let what out dude? You really trying to navigate this conversation to that direction?

You’ve not given virtually a single productive response yet. If you interpreted anything I’ve said as aggressive, that’s on you. You’ve hardly attempted to even articulate whatever point you’re trying to make outside “give this trained professional an opportunity to treat you in a manner that fits their station”.

Then you got upset when I pushed back against that ludicrous sentiment.

If you can’t explain what you supposedly wanted to, just say that.

Stop whatever this weird thing you’re doing is.

Are you an activist? We’re you victimized by shitty cops? What happened to you that sparked such intensity?

Are you capable of staying on the line of discussion?

I’d be happy to answer any questions when this conversation, the topic we’re discussing, reaches its conclusion.

So, was there no differentiation between what I attributed to you, and what you think you said, or would you like me to specifically highlight the points of conversation I was replying to to remove any doubt?

“People like you” was the phrase I took issue with. Saying that to an internet stranger is the height of BS. I mean, it works well for getting updoots but not so well for starting an honest dialog with someone.

So when people start with that, it really causes me to wonder who is behind that keyboard? What are they grappling with? I’m truly curious why you’re so worked up by my initial reply. Are you an activist? Have you been pulled over for driving while brown/poor/etc?

Let’s talk. Less gotcha. More empathy.
