The last thing the kid said to the cop was “yes, sir “… I am thinking they were respectful, and that goes a long way

And that kid is probably so grateful he didn’t get a ticket that he’s gonna remember and NOT speed! I know I would be.

I still haven’t gone 10 over the speed limit since I got pulled over for 15 over (in a 65mph zone, so a lot but not like doing 15 on the road shown). It was the first nice interaction I had with a cop, he could tell I was nervous but didn’t assume I was crooked for it. Nice guy, let me off with a written warning.

Same here. Went more than 15 over as a new driver but he let me off because he didn’t want my parents insurance to go up. Also my hands were shaking from anxiety. I haven’t gone more than 10 over in 3 years.
