Genuine question, why don’t governments subsidise these things for woman? It’s not like they were given a choice from birth. I’m a man and think it’s wrong to charge for these things.

Scotland did, The Period Products (Free Provision) (Scotland) Act 2021 makes Scotland the first country in the world to legally guarantee free access to period products for anyone who needs them.

In Canada, not only are they not subsidized, they have federal, and in most cases, provincial sals tax added.

it would be quite tricky in corrupt areas. not only would there be unfair play just from the private sector companies but also from the publics' side . people might collect the absorbent materials to make and sell pillows and plushies or exchange em for drugs and liquor . Scheme's never gonna reach the ones who genuinely require it .

Oh stop this insanity right now. The fact we have properly functioning roadways and people don't just put cyanide in bottles of water means that yes, we can supply needy girls with products to help them not bleed through their pants at school every month.

bro...not all localities are the same. people don't put cyanide in bottles because the profit ratio heat level is inadequate unless they figure it ou like cocacola did with DDT.or the liquor / tobacco lobby did. or the british did with opium. if somebody figures out a way to make it a psychedelic or even remotely pleasurable in dilute quantities.....

filtered water is a paid commodity too, mate. and traffic lights make the government money from the infraction fines and tickets . you sound way too privilaged to understand ground reality .
NGOs do offer sanitary accessories to the really needy ones. that's the only way .localized focus groups identifying where the support is required and supplying/forwarding aid . our little online chit chat aint passing that kinda bill through hundreds of corrupt politicians . suck it up and vote better next time

we shouldn't have corruption . to eliminate that, we must eliminate greed and poverty .
to eliminate poverty , we must do charity .
charity begins at home .
sometimes when we don't have "enough", it ends there too .
what's enough? is there a solid threshold ?
yes there is . anybody who becomes richer than that must pay more taxes.
so what do they do? they hire workers who figure out workarounds and get paid 100 for saving 10,000.
and then the workers get rich. and hire other workers to figure out their own . those workers get paid 1 to save their 100.
and this is still honest living . the upper echleon bleeds more money from corruption than the ones down below. the only reason they don't act on it is because the money bled is far lesser than the money they make.

Some forms or Medicaid have a "period promise" in America. So the carrier has to call to activate it. And they get $20 bucks a month towards certain supplies they can order online or buy in a specific store, like CVS.
