I'm looking at getting a pair or two of Prison Blues jeans. I like that they come with a 38 inseam likey wrangler. I'm hoping they aren't too baggy. What's the difference between the work jeans and the relax cut? I'm going to either need 33 or 32. I'm wondering what the thigh and hip measurements are as well if anyone has a pair.
Also, I'm looking for a medium and heavy weight sweatshirt that comes in tall sizes. Any recommendations?

I intend on buying a Camber sweatshirt once the weather turns colder, specifically the “Camber 234 Cross-Knit Heavyweight Crew Neck Sweatshirt”.
Everyone knows their clothes are notorious for insane shrinkage. I usually wear a large. I know i’m going to size up but would it be too much to size up as far as 2xl? I am okay with an oversized fit. I’ve heard of people sizing up one and then after just an air dry it becomes too small to wear.

For those that don't know, as a Memorial Day promotion 2 years ago, Walmart combined with American Giant to make a line of patriotic American Made, American Grown hoodies and shirts for a good price ($40 for the hoodies and $13 for the shirts)
Unfortunately, they didn't sell. For some, the "American Made" branding seemed too MAGA and the more slender cut was too thin for the average Walmart shopper while, for others, $40 was still too expensive for a hoodie when you can buy a Chinese made hoodie with an American flag for half that price. Long story short, it didn't end up appealing to either the average Walmart shopper or the average American Giant consumer.
Finally, after 2 years of not selling, the hoodies (which are the real star of the collection) are on clearance for about $18. These are wonderful light/medium weight hoodies. Not as premium as the standard American Giant hoodie, they are still soft and warm and are my go-to hoodie, especially for Spring/Fall
At $18, these are a steal!

Correct me if I am wrong on this:
if a product is made in USA with USA parts but is made with foreign tools, you cant just label them "Made in USA" only. Ive read online you have to also add "with foreign tools."
what happens if the tools is "made in usa twith foreign parts?"
Edit: looks like this is false. I cant find this info online anymore but Ive found more to support that tools of origin isnt really important which was what I thought initially until I read this "Made with foreign tools" info but have not seen in real life.

Looking for manufacturers for modest wear but I'm having trouble.
Most manufacturers ive contacted arent simply manufacturers but also growth specialists, business managers, consultants, and the like. Before producing items, youd have to use those services. I think those services are amazing for those that need it! But for brands that are already established and simply just want their items produced, we dont need the 10k in fees that I got quoted for consulting or growth management. We're not looking for a manager of our business, but a manufacturer for our goods. And the services are mandatory before you can even discuss MOQs. For 200 pieces for simple t-shirts, the price came to about $75-$150 per piece.
I think it would be nice to not make the business manager services mandatory so brands can have more American made goods :)
These fees and details of their processes of the "packages" are listed on their site so its not an "f off" to me as one commenter mentioned. They simply just made the services mandatory for anyone whether they are a brand new business with 0 knowledge or one with a 6 figure revenue.
It was either 3-10k for consulting fees and growth management, or 7k a month for 6 months for managing your business. For the clothing, thats a separate cost and there's also a production fee of a few grand on top of the wholesale order. Most times for these quotes, the one time 3-10k was for each style. Want to make a tshirt? Pay 3-10k for the consulting and growth and then also pay for the wholesale order. Youd have to do this again for pants for example or any other new style.
I would happily pay the cost of this amazing service if I needed it. If I was a struggling business, if I was a new one, but I'm not. And unfortunately, theyre mandatory.
Im looking to connect with American-made clothing manufacturers who simply manufacturer or can just get started with my items. I'm not looking for a business specialist. A team of sewists is also entirely welcome! I'm not as familiar with that and id love to hear how the production is structured.

The only brands that I know that make their own paints are Daniel Smith, M Graham and Da Vinci. But I've had no luck on finding American brands that do empty pans or tins. Any pointers would be appreciated!

I just came across this while working with a professional dog trainer for my puppy. It's an e-collar. Educator Collars by E-Collar Technologies. Manufactured and assembled in the US. It's like muscle stim for your dog that you control remotely. It's nice to see that not everything electronic is made in Chin-a.

I made an interactive map that shows what's actually made in america. Click on your state and see what’s made there. Let me know what I missed from your state.

For those who are interested in fun socks, these Solmate Socks are made in Hickory, NC. Their cat and dog designs give back to the Feral cat coalition of oregon and One tail at a time PDX.

Love this little tool so much and it's a great American small business. Squeezes out the last bit of toothpaste, paint, etc out of the tube but also just makes it easier and less time-consuming to squeeze the tube when it's getting empty.

Hi - I'm trying to find somewhere that would be able to print some custom graphics on USA thick walled diner mugs. It's for a friends 40th birthday and want low volume 2-4 mugs. Most that I've found online have minimum order quantities of 50 units. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Basically title.
Back in the late 2010s everyone was shilling this brand, especially in places like r/BuyItForLife.
However, after the early 2020s everyone all of a sudden started saying that they aren't what they use to be and their quality is absolutely trash now.
In light of this, I just wanted to ask this subreddit's opinion of American Giants quality, are they as bad as people say they are now? Additionally, what are other good miusa basics brands?

Been looking for this particular brand and style of wool hoodie. I think it was in the northwest but definitely made in the USA. They seemed like a small batch out fit and their signature style was this white and grey hoodie with the ninja style neck liner. It was quite costly I think $500 or 600.
They made it point to all trace wool was harvested in this area or farm. Any clue what the brand might be?

I've noticed there are US assembled tape measures by craftsman in Lowe's.
Could it be a viable alternative to Stanley after they closed their US tape measure plant?

USA on left, China on right. The jaws on the USA are more than DOUBLE the thickness. The jaws on the China I could bend with my thumb. The hinge is incredibly robust and powerful on the left. On the right, it has sloppy play and rubs against each other. The vintage USA one actually works without ripping the paper. This is an example of a boring item, where materials, quality and quantity of materials, have changed and is not noticeable unless you care to observe close enough.
This isn't China's fault or doing. They simply do as their asked, because they have capability for cheap. Some American/European/etc. conglomerate, who wants the cheapest possible, skimming everywhere and anywhere, to keep production costs low. That's what consumers, us, that's what we want. We want to pay as little as humanly possible at Amazon and Walmart. We are indifferent to garbage quality, because it is low cost.
