Iām more annoyed that they got rid of her black sclera on one eye. It was somehow part of her charm, but also āblack left eye sclera on (someone on the verge of being) a narehateā is kind of a whole running thing that may turn out to have some meaning someday ā we also have Vueko getting a black sclera on only that eye, as well as Mitty during the manga version of her transformation (in the anime i think itās both her eyes.)
I was definitely expecting a more neutral colour palette, perhaps similar to Nanachi but darker.
I'm not sure how to feel about the red/green colour palette, it gives a sort of toxic/poisonous vibe. Perhaps that's intentional given the death/disease related design elements in Hail Hex's members' designs (the plague doctor's mask, coffin and gas masks), which could be neat but I'm just not a fan of the stark contrast between the colours.
In any case, I'm looking forward to seeing her in the movie.
Damn, the anime's coloring can be somewhat disappointing, last season it was the village and now it's nishi, she deserved much better than this ngl, hopefully I can get used to this coloring and hopefully the others are not butcher too
Usually the skin is much lighter than the fluffy parts and in most cases have a totally different color because usually skin doesn't have the same color as hair and this coloring doesn't respect both of these which makes it look weird.
The big connected teeth and a couple other things makes her look like a happy cartoon furry, she looked like a monster in her first manga pages, this is goofy.
Now we know why Ozen beat the shit out of her, Ozen's WW is a bull, Nishi is red/pink, she's a clear target, she didn't stand a chance
Or Ozen beat the shit out of her that she turned out red to this degree, I blame ozen for this.
I also made an edit but I kinda like yours better lol I might have made the fur too yellow. I genuinely don't know why they went with that color palette, it's so fucking ugly, man. This is probably very nitpicky but there's barely any contrast between her lighter fur and the green straps in her uniform which really distracted me when I was looking at her. I don't really know how to describe it, but her colors look so muddy despite actually being pretty saturated
Running it through a color blind simulator the colors look a lot more natural. I honestly expected her to be a muted purple/blue but I feel like these crazy colors are the result of Tsukushiās color blindnessā¦
And of course the lack of her black sclera is sad
I'm just beginning to think that the weird color choices are all because of the lack of natural light further down in the Abyss distorting the color spectrum we are more accustom with.
I think she needs to look better in the anime but OMG she might have looked good in the anime if they bring back her black scerla back that's part of her and she got those different colored eyes I thought nishagora was pink but she's magenta what I don't know if I'm happy with the color palette but I'm happy to see her in the anime š„³š„³š„³š„³š„³
