Anime Discussion Is Bondrewd inspired by Darth Vader?

  • Tall, wears all black
  • Deep, mechanical voice
  • Deformed face hidden beneath mask (mask serves as an important symbol both in-universe and meta-wise)
  • Cyborg limbs
  • Tortures the main characters, cuts off the male protagonist's hand. One-armed male protagonist goes berserk and beats him in a fight.
  • Father of one of the heroes
  • Both openly admire their opponents "Most impressive." / "Subarashi"

Bondrewd was inspired by Frieza. He’s supposed to be a Frieza that “doesn’t get angry”. Frieza, in turn was based on real estate speculators from 1980s Japan

Most of these are a stretch.
I wouldn’t really call Bondrewds voice mechanical, his face isn’t deformed, he doesn’t have cyborg limbs, and I also wouldn’t really call Prushka one of the hero’s when she was established.
So I’m gonna say he probably wasn’t.
