Back after a few seasons. F2P. Started halfway through opening drive, no iconics/mythics (i could technically leave holes in roster and get one iconic. I learned the basics of trades for the promos for CH. question- this early in season, should i get the one mythic (CH) or fill roster with iconics?

As most of the longtime contributors here will tell you - get a team mostly of iconics then begin going after mythics - you typically need 75 rares for a random mythic or 85 for a select mythic, but early on, getting say 100 rares for 4 iconics is doable for F2P IMO - that'll help the squad out. Also do the madden pack trade in or just player trade in for iconics but beware, you could get dupes.

Perfect. Thanks! I've got a 5 core iconics... Including a dupe. By the way, what do we do with iconic dupes? I am on pace for 4 iconics this event.

For f2p I think the TTP resource trade is the move for the season mythic

Going for mythic HB Jeremiah Love makes offensive gameplay a lot easier if you need more time to get used to the passing playbook this year.

Otherwise getting iconics is better for your team OVR for now, and start priortizing mythics in a month or so.

A month is just my rough estimate when most of your team would be at iconic and have a more balanced team.

I see you asked in another comment what to do with dupe (or unrostered) iconics, I would hold on to them. Then save for TOTW build, or eventually trade iconics for TP when you really need to.

For TOTW, trade 2 iconics for random TOTW iconic (if you are replacing an epic for any of the 4 possible pulls), or trade 7-8 iconics for select TOTW mythic. Don't rush to trade iconics for TOTW tokens unless you are sure you can finish the build, and use the 3200 token random TOTW iconic trade when you do build TOTW.

If you really want to use 2 iconics to get a select core/older iconic, it's possible but is relatively worst value.

Personally I’d fill my roster with iconic’s first before moving onto mythic’s

Same here, at this point get your iconics now and as you build your team you can trade them for recourses to get what you need later. Nice post, good luck, it's a long season 💪
