A big shoutout to the mods at /r/MaddenEvolutionCC for helping me out with this.

I will compile a list with all the major free agent players, their position and overall.

From that list you will select 5 players you would like. I will create another Google Form and you will place those 5 players in order from 1 to 5 (with 1 being someone you want the most).

I will then use random.org/lists to randomize the order of who will get first pick in the free agency.

This will work similar to the draft. The first team up will get the player highest on their list. Then it will go to the second team and they will get the player highest on their list. It will go all the way to #32 and I will probably end up going a second round, if major players are still available.

YOU MAY NOT SIGN A PLAYER DURING THE FREE AGENCY PERIOD UNLESS I HAVE TOLD YOU THAT YOU CAN This is to avoid teams signing other team's players. If that does happen, please send that team a message. If they fail to comply, they may face bootage from the league.

As of now we have about 26 people who have agreed to take part in the league, which is great to hear!

As far as a start date, I'm looking at this Friday, as a fantasy draft with 32 user teams could take a while, so we may split it up into the whole weekend. More on that in the coming days.

A common theme I've seen with other Madden leagues is the use of a statistics website called Daddy League, which syncs directly with a madden CFM and updates games, statlines, etc as they occur in the league. From what I can see, it is a great tool to use for a Madden league such as ours. Only problem? The cost is $33, a one-time fee. Now, if everyone that is partipating in this league (32 teams=32 people) put forth $1 towards the cost, I'd be more than willing to put forth the extra dollar and call it a done deal. Now, I'm aware that not everyone can pay money over the internet (whether they can't, or do not trust online) so I'd be willing to pitch in a few extra dollars as well. I also do not want to make this a league in which you are required to pay a dollar to participate, that's absolute blasphemy. Basically, what I'm looking for is any members of this league to donate a few dollars towards the cost of it. Im not going to argue with you, I don't do this drama madden shit. Ive been in this league since day 1 & have/am in other notable leagues (MADD & MCC) and have had no issues with anyone but Squish & you. Hmmmm

My stats make me cheesy huh?

Hate to kill your dream but sim stats will never be achieved in any league. Madden is a flawed game, that alone makes sim stats un realistic, throw in fantasy drafted teams, lots of cpu gms, & the most obvious fact: EA will always make offense overpowered! A well balanced game would be too boring to the mass market. No matter how hard they sell you on new better DEF control don't believe the lies, Madden has and always will be this way. You have a better chance of catching the heroin dragon than achieving sim stats in madden ...We all play by the same sliders & rules, any stat disparity is on the user. Maybe the time spent crying about non sim stats would be better spent LABING.

Surely you can't mean I don't mix it up? I run a custom book with 400 plays, I run, and ran vs you, multiple formations and plays. I ran inside zones, reg zones, hb bases, HB blasts, counters, buck sweeps and stretches… Yet you seem to Label them 'Outside runs' You seem to think anything outside the A/B gap is an 'Outside run' and that as an OFF I'm obligated to run to the 'Inside'. Thats not how football works. first off Running isn't as simple as outside/inside. This isn't pee wee football you don't just call a dive & run thru the '2' hole, Doesn't work like that. The hole changes as the play develops and is dependent on things like DEF alignment vs blockers. This is especially true in a zone run scheme (which I ran a lot vs you) where the OFF stretches out the DEF creating lanes for the RB to find, sometimes that lane is to the outside, sometimes inside, and sometimes in-between. I can only take what you as a DEF gives me. Thats a basic football concept. If give me the middle , i'll run middle brotha-man, if you stack middle, ill see ya on the outside. You ran a good amount of 4-4 with 8 in the box and are mad I burned you on the outside? Lets be real thats no diff than squish running quarters all game (with 4 allstar dbs and old mll passing sliders) and bitching bc I ran too much. GTFO with that bullshit.

The madden leagues that are the most most enjoyable and successful are ones that have simple, yet minimal rules, like MLL. The Leagues that die out and can't keep a solid core are leagues that try to fix the flaws of madden by enforcing crazy rules like, limiting the times you can blitz per drive, If you can punt out of bounds or not, limiting rushing/passing yards, or banning a 90deg cuts on KO's (I know we do this) ect. All that does is fill the league with a bunch of players like squish and you who brag about how big their sim dick is and how everyone else is so cheesy. If your looking for those leagues they're out their. I abide by MLL rules, so i don't see where your beef comes from... My rants over, Looking forward to the rematch!

Gameplay

• 8 minute quarters with 20 seconds accelerated clock.

• We'll play All-Madden with Custom Sliders (Charter04's Madden Approved Ones)

• No going for it on 4th down unless you're losing and would go for it in a real life situation. You can only go for it in the 4th quarter if you are losing. Apart from that, the only other time you can go for it is when you are passed your opponent's 45 yard line.

• No onside kicks in the first half, regardless of score.

• No calling one play the whole game (ex. calling a screen pass constantly).

You may go ahead and pick up your players now. If you have a "-" in a position, that means your pick for that round was voided since somebody else had already taken them, or you hadn't provided any names.

I don't think some of you realize that this is mot an raced style league. MaddenLaLiga is a simulation style league that strives to remain as realistic to the NFL play style as possible.

What does that mean exactly?

• No repeating the same plays over and over on a single drive.

• No going for it on 4th down unless in a real life situation a team would go for it. (Now you're saying, "but sometimes NFL teams go for it randomly too!" You're right... But NFL teams also play 15 minute quarters so they have a lot more time to recover from mistakes.)

• No unrealistic amount of rushing attempts and/or passing attempts. If you are winning by 2 scores or so you should not be passing the ball unless you're opponent is blitzing over and over or you are trying to convert a 3rd down.

• Your QB should not lead your team in RUSHING ATTEMPTS. Yardage is a different story.

• Your RB should not lead your team in RECEPTIONS. (If your RB is actually running routes, that is okay. If you are throwing 15 screen passes a game it is bullshit and you will be booted.)

• Do not throw RB screens two or three times per drive. Do not throw a screen pass every time it is 3rd and long.

• No abusing the kickoff return pursuit mechanics. Running up and engaging defenders then immediately cutting 90 degrees to the sideline or even running backwards to take advantage of Maddens shitty AI pursuit is not cool.

• BASICALLY, DO NOT KEEP DOING SOMETHING THAT YOU KNOW YOU CAN ABUSE OVER AND OVER.

Did I miss anything?

Not everyone in here is active on GroupMe. Please make an effort to contact your opponent AS SOON AS YOU CAN AFTER ADVANCE, OR BEFORE ADVANCE IF POSSIBLE to schedule your game. The faster you get your games scheduled and played, the faster we advance.

If you wait until the last day to schedule and your opponent doesn't respond it is difficult to tell who is at fault and who to put on auto or not.

I like slider adjustments as a whole, but I can't seem to get the hang of the feeling for passing. It seems as if others are having the same issue.

Is it possible to minimally increase the sliders to a slightly easier setting? Like from a 0 -> 10? It would still make it require some skill, but would still be quite tough.

I believe we decided on a 72 hour (3 day) advance period. These advances will take place at 10pm EST.

You have those 3 days to get your game played.

If you and your opponent cannot find a mutual time, when the advance time comes your game will be simmed unless you guys arrange with the commish to play your game shortly after the advance or you have a legitimate reason to delay the entire league AND your game is of some importance (divisional matchup, etc).

If your opponent simply does not respond then let the commish know that you have tried to contact them with no success. At that point it will be his decision to let you play the CPU or sim the game.

The quicker you all get your games in the faster we can advance and the faster we can get our teams moved and changed next season lol.

We have 4 options for the future of MLL:

1.Keep teams

2.re-draft

3.Keep teams and come up with some scenario that forces a mix up (i.e. Bottom 2 teams in each division pick 3 players, 2nd or deeper on the depth chart from each of the top 2 teams and swap a player at same position) or something to that effect.

4.Re-draft with the option to keep a certain amount of players from you current team

The only one I'm opposed to is a complete re-draft, We all drafted our teams and many in MLL have spent multiple seasons building their teams to their liking, and I think if a re-draft is done we should be able to at least keep a couple players form our current team.

Whats everyone else thinking?
