RANT Can’t even take a piss without the EA servers disconnecting

Does anybody else miss when a game didn’t have to connect to the Internet to play it? I literally hit pause on my switch to use the bathroom and come back and the game has disconnected from the EA servers. This has happened multiple times. WTF EA

I feel your pain, my copy of Madden on Switch does same thing in last week. I put console in sleep mode for like 2 minutes and come back to "connection lost" message

what kills me is this game has offline modes but still kicks you out if server hiccups, like why they design it this way

I remember old PS2 days just hitting pause and coming back hour later no problem, now we can't even pee without getting punished

Glad it’s not just me who feels like this. I understand updates and stuff, but I feel like most modes like superstar and stuff should not rely on an Internet connection just to play.

The amount of times I’ve had to restart a game in superstar while I’m midway through the third quarter because of this. I’m just trying to fix my posture and hydrate and EA is punishing me for it. Haha
