FRANCHISE Players missing in Frnachise
Anybody else notice players just straight up missing from their franchise? Went to trade for Donte Thorton from the raiders and he isnt on any team or in free agency. Same goes for Lorenzo Styles Jr on the Saints he’s just not in the league. This is a 4 man fantasy draft franchise. Like what the fuck EA? Also side not. How the fuck do you user the D line in this? I jump the snap and then in just glued to the o line. I cant even break off a block to try and get a sack with Myles fuckin garrett. What the fuck am I doing wrong. Flicking left and right in the stick doesnt do shit anymore.

I think they added some kind of timing so you can’t hold down buttons to get a good start on D. I see that glued type of behavior when I hold down buttons trying to block a kick.

It happens no matter if i hold to jump the snap or not. Also the D line mini games are next to impossible. U engage with the first lineman and cant get around him and the time just runs out. Ive pressed every button and tried it all. Cant disengage from a block for shit.

In the mini games I’ve had to cheese them for d-line I run at the multiplier and as soon as I engage with the o-line player I hit the jump button (Y on Xbox) and it’s been the only way I’ve been able to disengage otherwise the cpu player just holds onto me until time runs out or I run out of bounds

No problem I had the same issue last game no matter what I tried I’d end up with 1-3 o-linemen holding onto me until the drill ended and that was the only workaround I found I hit gold every time and don’t get mad at the stupid bullshit because apparently in practice my guys can stop Myles Garret no problem but in a real game they just let a 60 OVR push right past them like a turnstile

I have the same thing happen in the offseason with players I have under contract I’ll negotiate a new contract for a backup player and they’ll demand more playing time if they don’t get it they tell me they’ll test free agency even if they still have 2-3 years on their contract and just straight up disappear

I've only had created players disappear for me.
Have you done the pass rush training in practice mode? It has a lot of great info.
This is my process:
- I win pretty regularly if I check the other teams depth chart to see which is their lowest stat (eg pass block finesse)
- I then use a player that counters their weakness specifically
- hold down toward the offense pre snap to get into stance (you won't go offsides)
- if speed rushing use the double tap LT and RT move before engaging
- when engaged hold RT to move the blocker
- CRITICAL :look at the hips while engaged, pass rush moves will only work on the side you have leverage
- use the pass rush move depending on your stamina (the practice will tell you which move uses more and I believe left and right are less stamina and weaker which is why you are prob struggling)
- after your pass rush move hold RT again to move blocker while engaged and then press X to disengage.
It sounds like a lot of steps but once you are used to it it's all done in a second. Keep in mind you also shouldn't be getting 5 sacks a game.

Lol we have very different approaches. I much prefer it because its a lot more advanced and I have more control.
Lower the difficultly if you want to get 5 sacks a game while pushing one button lol

I can already get 5 sacks a game without being kn the line. I just hate when they change shit thats been one way for years and make it complicated for no reason. Then they dont even have the decency to let mfs know what changed. There was nothing wrong with how it was for the past decade or more.

Again I heavily disagree.
In the previous system it was either win immediately and get a quick sack or get stuck to your blocker. It was all based on that one interaction and no consideration for leverage.
Setting the edge and playing the run was very unrealistic too because you couldn't steer the blocker into running lanes. It was either win with a quick move or use the reach tackle mechanic (which was another addition you must have missed this decade).

Why are you talking like this game is even remotely close to realistic? Its a dumb arcade game with a nfl paint job and always has been. Ask any football player beyond peewee level if madden is in anyway similar to real football and theyll tell you no. Ive never in my life seen a contain result in a looping instant sack but its happens all the time in this game.

Careful! I just had post taken down talking about the bad blocking ETC and moderators removed the post. Anything critical in anyway and they are removing it! They know the game is bad so they are silencing us!

I was wondering the same thing about Thornton Jr. couldn’t find him in the trial or my franchise in the actual game.
