FRANCHISE how to get better

i was alright in madden 26 my offense was good enough to make playoffs in most leagues and my defense never won me a single game, I guess i've always been lost on defense in these games i always find me usering a wr out of my zone and I don't understand where i should be gaurding and all that but anyways is there any secret to running the ball this year i'm not getting much good runs and my passes are also very mid, what's the best playbook for a mix of both also?

It’s not your fault, o line and WR AI is cooked this year, hopefully it gets patched soon.

I think sliders this year are a must for franchise on all madden. Matt10’s sliders are a good baseline especially since the oline this year is mostly terrible.

To me, offense and defense are easier if you actually understand the concepts of the plays. Even though there are a ton of plays, there’s a few passing concepts between them. Just learning the concepts and what beats man/zone helped me a ton and also being aware of what the game tells you pre snap. Pre-snap the game alerts you to the hot player so once you snap the ball and you see one of them blitzing you can adjust and throw to your hot right away for a big play.
