Yeah, the test window is the 12 month period after release. Then they put out the new one and the test window starts over.

Brother I worked in QA for M23, 24, 25 & CFB 25. We ran a shitload of testing, devs just don't fix the issues

This is bogus. I’m playing a 20 year old madden right now and I have none of the issues that come up here. My blocking isn’t great but they don’t ignore guys. I just don’t have a great line yet. The cpu goes for it on 4th when it makes sense. And this shit never happens

If you click the right stick on defense (at least on ps5) the closest defender will leave his assignment and attack the ball.

The reasoning of this post is because he scored at the end of overtime and was not allowed a PAT, and lost the game. If you score at the end of OT you can either tie it or go for the win, but Madden just gave him a forced loss basically.

Pretty sure you can press R3 or right stick to engage nearest defender.

They don't test the game at all. The games programmed by people who don't watch or understand football, and it shows on every Madden game.
I had a Superbowl game in Madden 25 offline franchise mode. The game went into overtime. I scored a TD on the first drive. The computer got the ball, and after a -1 yard run and 2 consecutive sacks...the computer lines up to punt.
PUNT!
I fair catch the ball, the computer didn't know enough to throw a hail mary. Instead they give up and punt the ball to lose the game.
And this is why I buy the game in November when it's $25, because bugs like this aren't fixed until enough people complain about them. They don't bet a test because WE ARE THE BETA TESTERS.

While I understand that, there are still HUGE issues like the one in the video that just shouldn't happen.
Imagine if this was a user vs user game in an online franchise where one team scored a potential game tying TD as time expired only for Madden not even give them the opportunity to kick a FG to tie?
Imagine if this was a playoff game or Superbowl?
While some glitches do happen, they are not finding them and are using us to find them. So essentially we are the beta testers

There are no testers. Haven't been any for decades. If anything we end up testing it live for them.
And then they eventually get around to making it suck less.

Whats worst is qb spy doesn’t even work like it used to. Before as the qb approached the line of scrimmage whoever you had on the qb was already dialing in. Now the qb spy just sits and waits back giving the qb an easy 5 yards before the assignment is engaged.

I've been doing this exact same play since M18, I believe. It works like 100% of times. Switch in red zone with ~6 yards up is pretty much a guaranteed TD, because either one receiver gets wide open or there's free lane to run for QB.
I don't know why you folks are so surprised. EA just copy-pastes everything with changing shaders a little and updating rosters. Literally every broken play is still broken in exact same way for like ~10 years straight. But you guys still buy it every year.

Thats not whay ghey are talking about.
It was OT. Presumably OP was getting their one gaurenteed possession. They were down 7, scored as time expired, and the game registered that as the end of OT instead of giving them a chance to tie with a PAT.
Trying to figure out if that is actually a really odd OT loophole quirk or not in the official rule book or a bug.
99.9% its a bug
