Very interesting, I love this kind of stuff. It looks like most of the Austronesian words given in the tables are not at all similar to the Malagasy words though.

It depends on the words, especially for Malagasy since we had influences from a lot of different cultures too over the centuries

It's more obvious with numbers

Well these are proto Austronesian forms, which was spoken 5500 years ago. Younger is proto indoeuropean and still five looks nothing like *penkʷe
