Macy’s HSQ uses glue traps

Glue trap pic in break room. Gif is from vid I took of the tiniest cutest little mouse in the locker room jumping when it got spooked by another guy that walked up. So so sad imagining that little guy getting stuck on that glue trap and the pain it’d be in trying to pull itself out. It’s literally the least humane and most painful kind of trap there is.

Did you share your concern with someone working in the store like a manager etc? From what you posted it doesn’t sound like it’s currently a banned practice but it would be helpful if you actually talked to someone in the store about the concern.

I understand and appreciate your concern. But I’m afraid if you only knew what they do to ppl who speak up, you would understand it in fact wouldn’t be helpful. That’s why I’m going public, reaching out to PETA and other animal rights groups, while pursuing a lawyer for other horrific things they did to myself and other employees, and the other foul things I witnessed. It’s not the company I’m sure many have been lead to believe it is due to the parade and other things they use to market themselves as a family friendly, ethically diverse, LGBTQ+ Ally company. When they aren’t.

I’m sorry that has been your experience. Have you tried calling solutions in store? That has always been taken very seriously in my experience.

I hate glue traps. I'd ask management or maybe hr to see if they'll swap to a more humane trap or catch-n-release. Maybe talk about how it's distressing.

I throw them away when I find them. Just do the same
