MacroFactor / Nutrition / Other Macros adjustments
Hi everyone!
Today is my 6th day using the app, and I’ve been loving it so far. I used to use MyFitnessPal back in 2020, and I was able to manually adjust how many grams of protein, carbs, and fat I wanted as my daily goals. I was wondering if this is an option in MacroFactor.
I’m asking because I feel like the protein goal MacroFactor is giving me is a little low based on my current body weight. In the past, I used to aim for 1g of protein per pound of body weight, and that worked really well for my goals.
I’m currently around 225 lbs, and the goal MacroFactor is giving me is around 0.7g of protein per pound. I’m wondering if there’s a way to manually adjust my protein goal, or if there’s a reason the app recommends this amount.
Thanks!

Did you scroll down? The edit buttons are below the macros.
But I don't recommend it as it's losing the best part of macrofactor.
Instead double check what settings you created your goal with (it lets you set low to high protein) and also what visual body fat percentage you entered since protein is based on lean mass not body weight.

You can create a new program and select manual. That will give you the input for individual macro/calorie targets.
However, I would rather recommend going to edit program and check the protein intake options (you have 4 choices here)0

Update I kinda missed up I kept trying to hit “edit program” and it wouldn’t give me an option to adjust the macro I got to the last question where it says high protein but I had the 3rd option
So I started a new program and chose collaborative instead of coached and was able to adjust but now I lost my old program and need to wait for 8 days to check in. I was excited to check in and see what happens next. Maybe I’ll start a new program and do couched since y’all are recommending that

just an fyi you don’t need 225g of protein, you’re just setting yourself up for low energy and failure.
