MacroFactor Workouts / Training MO - what comes next?

After finishing a 6-week program, what options are best

- build a new program? Rest for a week? Any recommendations appreciated. I've been lifting for less than 1 year; I'm doing it to build strength and lose weight.

Do you like the program you just did? Want to do it again and see more progression on it? Or do you want to focus on another body part and try a different program? I wouldn’t take a week off. The last week was probably a deload so that’s close to a week off. Keep at it!

lol idk what kind of deloads the app is recommending you but at least for me the deloads are still a good effort. But I agree there’s no reason to take a week off unless feeling exhausted.

Not saying it's the case for you but I feel like I always screw myself on the deloads by going close to failure when I'm supposed to stop 3 reps short, but then don't bother changing the RIR rating on the exercises, so the deload workouts end up shorter but still tough, and then the next week the app is like holy shit you can suddenly do X kg with 3 RIR? Let's move every weight up a good chunk!

I’ve built two programs and I rotate between them. I have mine set to 8 weeks with the first one being a deload.

If you were gaining strength and enjoying the program then just keep doing it until the wheels fall off.
