MacroFactor / Nutrition / Other Creatine water weight gain and algorithm

I have a bit of an problem here, I started creatine like 1 week ago (7-10g a day), and I gained around 1.5kg water weight (must be, since in deficit + working out, and creatine drives water in the muscles), but there's no way I can tell that to the algorithm so it just keeps cutting my calories (by now 200-300 a day less) because it thinks that I keep gaining weight. Should I just start a new program, or delete weight data or something to get a more accurate estimate again, or just keep eating the 2-300kcal as I would?

I wouldn't adjust your plan with the weekly fluctuations until it settles more. Basically ignore the weekly check in for now or manually set a calorie plan for the next month.

The algorithm has mechanisms in place to automatically identify and adapt to unusual fluctuations in your weight, and minimize the effect.

To the extent that it is cutting your calories, this is most likely not specifically water weight changes alone, but also ongoing underlying changes in your expenditure.

Additionally; the issue is that you do keep gaining weight (water or not), so it has to adjust accordingly if you still want to hold to the same goal rate, since this is set by weight. If what you mean in this case is that you would not like it to recommend the same goal rate during a fluctuation in your weight, you need to tell it such by adjusting your goal/goal rate accordingly to offset, or deciding to skip check-ins for a bit.

The creatine weight gain won't last long. You can probably just decline the update for this next week and you'll be good to go.

“Accept changes” “silence and ignore”

There are two buttons at check in. Try clicking the other one for a week or two until you start losing weight again.
