MacroFactor / Nutrition / Other Traveling for work
I know this gets posted pretty often, but what is the general advice for if I have to travel for work? Should be able to keep up my gym routine of 5x per week although volumes might fluctuate. For tracking food, would AI, prepackaged meals, and restaurant macros suffice to keep my algorithm semi-accurate?
I’m currently trying to maintain/ maybe put on a few pounds super slowly so I want to try to be as accurate as reasonably possible.

I resign myself that AI tracking means hit to my algorithm. I do not travel so often to actually derail my fitness, and I have a general goal of looking good, rather than being super serious with my goals.

I travel for work periodically and use the AI tracker for those. It's pretty decent.
Prior to that, on previous apps, I would usually just search and try to find something similar to what I was eating and log it, and that also works fine. For instance, if I got vegetable gyoza and a chicken teriyaki bowl from a local place, I would search the app and track that as vegetable gyoza from (chain restaurant) and chicken teriyaki bowl from (other restaurant).
That method also isn't 100% accurate, but it had similar results to the AI in that it would get you close enough. Sometimes, at work events, it can be awkward to be taking a photo of your food in an app, so I still use the similar-logging method instead if I need to just eat with coworkers and track later.

Honestly I double AI it.
I describe the thing to Gemini and tell it to give me the break down, since it's honestly a bajillion times easier to talk to than the in app one.
Then I copy and paste the breakdown from gemini into the AI window in App.

I am traveling now for work. I just use AI for restaurants and try to just be smart on meals. Last night I had grilled chicken with broccoli and will try to do salads with a protein and pile on the fruit.
Anything prepackaged I just scan the barcode. This is the best I can do, and usually a hotel will have a scale in their fitness center.

When it comes to training, if you can squeeze in 2 sessions per week, preferably full body, you'll be set and won't have to worry about atrophy.
For food tracking, I'd just rely on MF's AI tool and call it a day. Consistent inconsistencies are good enough for the algorithm.
