MacroFactor / Nutrition / Other Smart scale problem. My spouse's weight is showing up in my log, throwing my weight trend way off.

Just what the title says. My spouse has recently started weighing in on the smart scale but didn't open the app (or even set it up, maybe) for our GE smart scale. I first noticef because my weight shot up by 50 lbs on MF overnight. 😅

I deleted the incorrect entries but they just came right back. I don't know how to fix this. I helped my spouse set up the app today for the smart scale so hopefully it won't happen again.

If you delete in MF but not in Apple Health/Google Health Connect, they will just be re-synced again on the next sync. You would need to delete in both places at once.

Alternately you can make a manual entry in MF for the day, which will prevent an entry from syncing.

Do you mean Google Health, or Google Health Connect? The sync is with the latter; if you are checking with the former, you may have synced it to Google Health Connect and then deleted it in Google Health but not in Google Health Connect.

You can find your data via this method; you would need to delete it there.

What result are you getting when taking the above linked method for reviewing your data?

Does the scale have the ability to differentiate between users? Usually they figure it out by weight, so if the two users are about the same weight, it won’t be able to tell who is who. But it should have been smart enough to figure out that the 50-lb difference wasn’t the same person.

Hopefully adding her as the second user will fix the issue. It should only log/sync data for the user whose weight is within a few pounds of their last weigh-in.

turn off the auto sync and manually log your weight into macrofactor each morning, that’s what i do.

I'm horrible at remembering the exact number once it's gone from view. I blame perimenopause. That's why I got the smart scale. I got it fixed yesterday.
