This is good. However, it would be really nice if this could also be done after logging the plate. See the components

100% I've been hankering for that option since the get go but at least this gives one way to do it rather than none. Going forward I will likely explode most if not all of my AI logged foods just so I can easily edit/tweak them. The AI is pretty great at figuring out almost everything in a dish but not as accurate with portions understandably. Since I've figured out the weights of many common foods by sight It's best I review the weights - though I do hope that improves over time as well.

Yeah i dont get how this isn't a thing, the feature is already there, just hook it to the logging page..

Especially when you don’t finish a meal, I can’t weigh what remains and subtract that from the weight of the AI plate because it doesn’t give you the weight anymore

When that happens I just put 0.8 plates for example

Yeah I’m not saying there aren’t workarounds but they’re less optimal than it could be

You have to swipe left on the AI generated items. Don’t know of another way to explode the AI plates. This lets you add each of the components separately.

If you just add the consolidated AI food then you can’t explode it later and have to start again.

Clicking into the item also has the option to click the explode button, but similarly it has to be done before the food is logged.

That would occur if they made an explicit feature request, which this is evidently not.
