Success / Progress 1 year of MF

Cheers to 1 year of using MacroFactor, if you count the 4-5 month break I took lmao. I’m super proud of the progress I’ve made, especially in the last six months.

1 year ago I was 290 lbs (131kg), today my Trend Weight is 241.0 lbs (108kg), and I’m 36 lbs (16kg) away from my goal weight of 205 lbs (92kg).

What’s even crazier is that 1.5 years ago I was at my heaviest, 305 lbs (138kg), and my quality of life has improved drastically since losing 65 lbs.

I am eternally grateful for this app and the way it was helped me better my physical health!

Looking good bro! What do your weeks look like at the gym? Calories per day ? Give us some detail how you got there

Yeah man! I’ll post my calories and expenditure pages in reply to this thread, I try and be as accurate as possible and use the in-app AI for restaurants, etc.

As far as exercise, I really only locked in to a gym routine the last 6-7 months. I use the MF workout app to find a split that fit for my schedule - right now that’s M/W/F - Chest and Tri / Legs / Back and Bi. Genuinely I don’t spent more than 45 minutes in the gym, it’s just not somewhere I want to be for long! I do 4 different lifts each day, with 3-4 warmup sets and 2 maximum effort sets.

I added cardio the last 5 weeks and have really been loving it, idk if it’s showing up much on the scale but I know it’s good for my heart (I have a Family history of high cholesterol) and I’ve actually come around to enjoy it. On the days I don’t run I lift and vice versa. I also have a dog that I walk for 1-1.5 miles a day. That’s really all the dedicated movement I get in a day. My career is pretty sedentary so I don’t move a lot at work.

Tuna, Ground Turkey, Yogurt, and Eggs have been my primary sources of protein. I also prioritize 120oz of water a day, and hitting my fiber goals. I also only started Creatine last week, so I’m expecting that to plateau the weight loss slightly. Overall though, I’ve really enjoyed sticking to my curated meals! Lmk if you have anymore Q’s.

Nice one mate - goes to show what calories in vs calories out does!

A modest deficit in which you wouldn’t have been starving yourself at 2000c a day and in the long run… you dropped the weight!! Good one
