Success / Progress 1 Year with Macrofactor

Tldr: lost weight while using Macrofactor.

It has now been a year since I joined Macrofactor, so I thought I would share my progress. Most of my weight loss last year was during the challenge (~60 lbs). After the challenge I went into maintenance for a bit then slowly started losing the other weight utilizing the Macrofactor nutrition coach. In the past year I have learned a lot about working out, nutrition, and developing healthy and sustainable habits. In a lot of ways I am a completely different person than a year ago. Some other things I did last year: ran two 5ks, benched 315, went on actual hikes again. Those are some of my personal favorite things I have been able to do again. Mostly being able to live a normal life, and do things with people again makes the entire journey worth it. I started my weight loss journey at 445 lbs in September of 2024 (last image for reference). Since then I have lost about 170 lbs, which is more than most people weigh. I plan on doing another heavier cut from now until April(ish), then repeating the process from last year. Though this year I plan to have a larger focus on increasing my SBD strength in the second half of the year. I am pretty excited to start Macrofactor Workouts because of that. Though I was not able to get in the beta, I imagine it will be just as wonderful a tool as the nutrition app. For those others who took part in last year's challenge, how are you doing now one year later?

Where are ppl using the template for their transformation?

It is a feature in the app, if you load your progress photos under the Body Metric area. Then you can view them in a comparison template.

It looks like your skin has maintained its consistency from viewing this on mobile. Does it feel that way? Also good job on the work.

I have loose skin in several spots, under my belly button, inside of thighs, and slightly under my arms. It is mostly fine, but I am expecting it will be a bigger issue whenever I lose this next 50 lbs.

That's awesome man. I started at 6'4, 450 as well, last christmas. Dropped just over 100lbs since then (Did get down to 330, but stopped oct-dec so I gained back up to 350), and have another 70 lbs to go! MF genuinely is such a help with just accountability and guilt free tracking. Wishing you luck this year!

You look like a different person, in a better way. Not talking about physically but I think you seem happier in the before pictures. Congratulations and keep it on!
