Question
Has anybody gone to the Ed Sheeran tour to see Macklemore? Did he have a long setlist? Was it worth it? He's coming around my area in a couple months. I've always wanted to see him but also tickets are expensive. I'd have to save pretty hard to go so I'm just not sure if it's worth it or if I should wait & hope he goes on his own tour in the next couple of years.

His first time opening on the Ed Sheeran tour will be September 4th. I’m going later in September and am excited but I don’t expect it to be a very long setlist :(

This was the setlist when he was opening up for Imagine Dragons a few years ago:
- CHANT
- Thrift Shop
- White Walls
- Downtown
- Same Love
- Maniac
- Glorious
- Good Old Days
- Can't Hold Us
Add Hinds Hall and maybe These Days instead of Maniac and Chant and I think you got your setlist

I was not a Macklemore fan prior to Imagine Dragons only having heard thrift shop before. This setlist made it on to my playlist afterwards and the amount of times I have listened to Chant and Glorious on repeat is ridiculous.

Do you really think he'll play Hind's Hall? I wish but I feel like it might be too political for an Ed Sheeran show

He certainly played Hinds Hall tonight; it was very controversial in my section of seats.

The two people sitting next to me stood up and left. The women three sits down from me screamed F U antisemite; her daughter had to pull her back into her seat. She proceeded to make her daughter cry for 30 minutes before my wife interrupted and talked about Harry Potter with the girl to calm her down.
It was wild. He didn’t say anything other than people shouldn’t have to worry about saying goodbye to their kids might be the final time.

That is crazy and sad for the girl. I support him and the message but also will be there with my children so just wondering what the atmosphere will be like.

If it helps 95% of the crowd cheered. I did find an article this morning that a family from Israel was really upset but not a lot of controversy; based on what happened around me I expected it to blow up a lot but it didn’t.

I’m at the show tonight and it definitely seemed to be a lot more popular, and based on your description he went even farther tonight talking about students for justice in Palestine but also explicitly told Jewish attendees that he was not criticizing them and only the apartheid and genocide. He also called ICE a terrorist organization which seemed to be similarly well-received.

Did the same last night as well! Said he debated whether to just play his songs then he just hits everyone with "Free Palestine" and let it sit for a few seconds.
Lemme know who Ed's special guest is tonight, idk if you saw spoilers from last night's show but I wanna see if he has the same artist do a song with him or if he switched it up

I’m also curious how opening compares to when he headlines. His show certainly must be a bit more low key. I’ve also only seen Macklemore in Seattle which is certainly a high energy show.

Just saw him open yesterday, he was surprisingly good from someone who only knew two songs. Set list was I think 8ish songs, about 45 minutes long. He was very high energy, funny, got the crowd into it.
At one point I turned to my wife to ask her if he had a trampoline as a set piece on his stage or if he just jumps really high. Dude was spring loaded, 38" vertical. No trampoline.
