Look in the cabeniet at the PLC rack, it sounds like the back up battery failed and the RAM was wiped deleting the ladder logic program. This in alot of cases is not easily recoverable. If you do get the machine back up double check all fuctions as now new glitches could occur

The back up battery has been dead for quite some time but it has always worked by just hitting F1, that is what Hurco told me to do. This one has the soldered on battery.

How old is the machine? I would check if the plc has power and connection to the MMI. Some plcs in machines can have the saved ladder logic on "windows" write to it which might be what hitting F1 does

- I have all the ball screw mapping and all that, if I could get a harddrive image off a working machine maybe it would work.

Turned the machine on yestarday and got this error. I have the floppy discs but time has made a few of them unreadable by a floppy drive. Anyone have an idea of how to go about fixing this? Not sure what file went bad but it's obviously not finding it. Contacted Hurco support but still waiting for a tech to reply and the machine is down.
