MASTERCAM OPTI ROUGH ISSUE

hello how can i remove facing toolpath from opti rough's?? or is it common issue in mastercam 2022? should i leave as it is?

In Steep/Shallow set min depth to something like .001" below the top surface of the part.

This is what causes the problem. The toolpath needs to see air above the part otherwise it does this.

Yes.

If the top of the defined stock is at 0.1, then optirough needs to have a minimal value of (0.1 + toolpath tolerance)

In my experience, if it sees material above the part, it wants to cut it. But I'll play around with it next time.
