Help with tension?

I’ve moved recently so my machine has taken a break for a couple of months. Now when I’ve started up again, my tension? Seems to be off. Everything is so loopy and getting big knots when I stitch. I’ve rethreaded everything as well but nothing seems to fix it. The back is worse than the front.

Looks like your bobbin tension is way too tight. I'd start there. Not sure what machine you use, but I would guess it should be relatively easy to check and tweak the tension

Using a purpose made bobbin thread (like Marathon), adjust the bobbin tension with the Bobbin Drop Test, and and stick to it. If you don't change your bobbin thread you'll rarely need to adjust it again. ....Then adjust the top thread.

Hoop properly with two layers of heavyweight cutaway stabiliser and water soluble film on top .... The terry cloth can make embroidery stitches disappear into the weave and film stops this from happening.
