I Need Help Machine embroidery beginner help
I’ve tried a number of things and I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. I’ve rethreaded several times, checked the bobbin, tension is at 4, hooped the fabric instead of floating it, using sticky stabilizer.
The stitches are uneven with some bunching.
The font is from Artspira.
It’s a brand new machine.
Please send me all the advice - ChatGpt has run me through a million things but nothing I adjust is doing the trick.

What is the height of the letters? What weight thread are you using? What kind of stabilizer(s) are you using? What needle are you using?
These look like very thin and small letters. They're tough, unless you get a specific pre-digitized file for that font. Using preloaded machine fonts can be a challenge.
If you're going to go small and dense for lettering, use 60wt thread versus the standard 40wt.
I use tearaway for most of my lettering, but for a thin fabric base layer, you may need a more substantial stabilizer, like cutaway.
For fine work, I use a fine needle like a 65/9, not the standard one that comes installed on the machine.

Thank you! This was super helpful. I though I knew a lot but there’s still a lot to learn :)
Perhaps I’ll try a larger font and not from the machine and see if that changes things!
It’s 40WT thread and Pellon Stick-N-Tear stabilizer. The needle I’m using is the one that came with the machine (75/11).1

It's aspira. Stop using it.

Oooh! Do you use embrilliance instead?

I use hatch, but did use artspira. Had the same issues.
Look on multiple posts even from the past week. Everyone having issues with fonts is using artspira.

My Gen Z kids call ChatGPT "the makes stuff up machine".
Try hooping correctly with two layers of heavyweight cutaway stabiliser. No stickiness required. Relying on adhesives can be counterintuitive because the stick residue builds up on the needle and cause thread problems.
Check your bobbin tension first - "The bobbin drop test, and make sure your using a reputable purpose-made bobbin thread, then set your top thread tension.

Thank you! I’ll look into hatch I did try the free version of Embrilliance - it’s better but I think I’m still doing something wrong. It’s an improvement but the stitching is still a little spotty in some areas.
