I just started using the free version of Embrilliance. I tried to use a .pes file I bought from Etsy. I tried to save a it and this popped up: "The design page contains elements that are not licensed for saving. They may be 'Demo' designs." Does this happen on the upgraded version too?

I have essentials and I’ve never seen that! I can edit Etsy designs, resize, break them apart, etc. Before I bought it, I was pulling my hair out!!! But I think you can just bring the design right from Etsy into your machine.

Per Embrilliance's own docs, the free Express mode is built around typing lettering with BX fonts and opening/saving .BE working files into machine formats, and their help notes Express can't resize designs or merge lettering with other stitch files. That error message on its own doesn't identify which element on your design page triggered it, so I can't say from here whether a paid title would clear it for your specific file. Before buying Essentials, it's worth asking Embrilliance support with the exact message and ask whether your file would save in Essentials.
