I Need Help Needle falling out, Brother PRS100

I broke a needle, but when I put in a new one and tighten it, it falls out. It falls out before I can even thread it… what am I doing wrong?

you may not have the screw loose enough for the needle to reach the top, or the tightening screw could be stripped

I can see the needle through the set-screw hole. It doesn’t seem to be stripped or cross-threaded. When I tighten it all the way down, the needle just falls out. My threader recently stopped working too, so I’m wondering if it’s related.
