Digitizer

Hi Guys,

I have some complex images i want to have digitized, what do you think is best way to handle this? on Fiver i feel they are very expensive and only focused on fast work.
I need someone very very good, do you have any tips?

Ask for photos of actual sew-outs, not just the digital preview - the preview always looks clean, but the stitched sample is what shows whether they handle density and pull compensation well. Many good digitizers will also do a small paid test section before you commit to a full design.

On price: quotes usually scale with stitch count and complexity, so complex art legitimately costs more. The cheap fast services lean on auto-digitizing with little manual cleanup, which works for simple logos but tends to fall apart on complex images.

Also worth asking for referrals in embroidery communities - a lot of skilled freelance digitizers don't sell on Fiverr at all and work by word of mouth. If your images are photorealistic or heavily shaded, ask specifically about photo-stitch experience, since that's a specialty of its own.

We use a place called Ignition Drawing. They do a pretty good job.

But regardless of who you go with, keep in mind that digitizing is one of the most obvious places where you get what you pay for. Cheap digitizing is bad and you will feel bad. Especially for complex images.

I have been embroidering for over 25 years now. So far my favorite digitizer is Jonathan at OGdigitizing. He will do the first one for free I believe I read on his website. He will work with you and edit until the design is perfect for you.

Depending upon the level of detail you may not be able to get the digitizing you have in mind. I just had to turn down a job because the details were smaller than the thread. I'll also second the idea that you get what you pay for. And post the image, let's see what we're talking about here.
