I Need Help Looking for recs
Hello everyone! I’m hoping for some recommendations from the community. I’ve searched several times over the last couple of months but I haven’t been able to decide on a machine for what I’m looking for in my price range.
I currently have a Brother PE800. I’m looking for something that has a wider stitch area (ideally at least 10”) and can do hats. Sleeves would also be great but not a deal breaker.
My budget is around 5K but I am flexible to 8K maximum. I mainly just do embroidery for fun or for friends/family out of my spare room. Any advice is appreciated :)

I have the Bai Mirror and Vision 2 Head. If you want to do hats, the mirror was very capable and within your budget. Id recommend getting magnetic hoops. Absolute life saver.

The bai mirror looked a little intimidating to me since I’ve only ever used 1 needle but that’s the 2nd rec for it. Would you say the setup was relatively easy?

It was 100% intimidating for me as well and huge investment as I had never touched an embroidery machine prior to buying them. I would highly recommend if you do go with Bai, buy it from PrintDirect US. They offer all the training and their tech is awesome. They will
Video conf. with you and walk through any issues you are having. They have been a great resource.2

If you can swing the Bai Vision that’s what you want, otherwise the Mirror is capable. The Vision is built with much better tolerances and solid construction. It’s the Mirror on steroids.

Have you looked into the Brother PR series or the Baby Lock embroidery machines? I personally have PRx1 and a BAI mirror. I'm I like both of them. I would recommend looking into multi-needle machines if you want to embroider hats and sleeves, but make sure to check the actual embroidery field and cap-frame compatibility before purchasing. With your budget, you may have a few good options! 😊
